Biography
Julie Wurmlinger is a highly regarded automotive industry expert with more than 30 years of experience in the powertrain sector. As a retired Global Chief Engineer from Ford Motor Company, Wurmlinger began working in product development at Ford Motor in 1986 and rose from engineer to manager while being awarded three patents for powertrain innovations.
She is currently the President and Owner of OhmTek, LCC, offering unique consulting skills in electronics, IT, automotive engineering, and career coaching. Her expertise covers geopolitical impacts on strategic planning, global business & international operations, effective communication, project management, DEI, and more.
During her tenure at Ford, Wurmlinger led global business units within the Powertrain Division, winning the SWE Global Leadership Award and the UK “Business Insider” Top Female Engineer Award.
Ms. Wurmlinger has lived and worked overseas extensively and has managed several global business units since 2010. Since retiring from Ford Motor in 2018, she has launched her technical consulting business and served as a Board Member for Exro Technologies Inc. on the Governance and Nominating Committee and the Technology and Commercialization Committee.
Ms. Wurmlinger holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University.
